Crowthorne Millennium Mural restoration
Community action is a core part of Wellington College’s Global Citizenship programme. Pupils are encouraged to explore and follow their passions, whilst developing Global Citizenship competencies and their own personal growth. Shreya and Amy have been doing just that by taking on a project a stone’s throw away in Crowthorne High Street. After noticing the Crowthorne Millennium Mural had weathered away, the pupils picked up their paint brushes to breathe life back into the 23 year old street art.

Enjoy new walking and cycling routes in
Bracknell Forest
New circular walking and cycling routes have been created across Bracknell Forest, to encourage residents to make the most of the borough’s excellent traffic-free network, to stay active and explore the borough on foot, or by bike.

Routes range from 10 to 20 kilometres in length, and there are five in total to try. Maps of the routes can be downloaded online and there are also colour-coded stickers on lampposts along the way to keep you on track.

Cllr Chris Turrell, Executive Member for Planning and Transport said:

“The launch of these routes is one of the many steps Bracknell Forest Council is taking to boost more active ways to travel around the borough.

“We hope these routes will be an exciting opportunity for people to introduce themselves to the great cycling and walking network we already have…

Policy C12 - Biodiversity
‘Proposals to contribute to, increase and enhance the natural environment by providing additional habitat resources for wildlife and green space for the community.’.

A whole wealth of activities are planned throughout the borough to improve and raise awareness of the Year of the Green Corridor - follow the link to find out more…
